A nice little walk up Bayshore, a crazy hat competition to win prizes, and a free swag bag for you -- it's a winning combination and a fun morning for all ages.

This year the kids in our Kiwanis Clubs (K-Kids, Bugs and Builders Club) get to decide how to spend the money the walk raises – they can donate it to a charity of their choice, buy club supplies, have a pizza party, it’s all up to them to decide. It’s a valuable opportunity for the children to learn how to work together, how to lead, and how helping others is a positive quality.

This is such a great cause and a really easy stroll, about 2 miles round trip. If you care not to walk, you can still participate in the crazy hat competition to win prizes and of course cheer the walkers on.

The Student of the Month honored these four amazing elementary students at a special ceremony and breakfast at Paradise Restaurant for them, their parents and teachers. We start the morning off with a Kindness Pledge as we know each of these students embrace kindness and respect in the classroom. We have a very special guest lined up for our April Members meeting... Nikki Guarino, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with the Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services. (Nikki is also the daughter of Aimee and Eddie Busquet!) We think you'll find the services that are offered through this organization to be very interesting and possibly a service someone you know could use.

Please join us tomorrow, April 2nd. Meeting starts at 5:30pm. Food will be provided and it's going to be our last meeting at SHAMc. We'll be switching to a new location for the hot summer months (location TBD).

Please join us for the Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday. It's always a peaceful morning and great way to kick off your Easter celebrations with family and friends. Service starts at 7:00am at the Safety Harbor Waterfront Park. Bring a chair just in case, although some are provided. Start your Easter morning at the Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor's annual Easter Sunrise Service. Three local churches are coming together – Countryside Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor and Safety Harbor Community Church – to lead us in music and worship at the Safety Harbor Waterfront Park. It’s a special morning and open to all denominations.

Folks start to arrive around 6:30am with the service starting at 7:00am. There will be some chairs available. You may want to bring your own just in case.
