It was a great turnout for our August 2 club meeting. Everyone was so happy to be back together again. The meeting was packed with announcements and a special tribute to Janet Hooper on her retirement from the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center. Janet will continue her involvement with Kiwanis and we’re so glad she is. Upcoming club dates to remember are: Sept. 4th for a Student of the Month Breakfast hosted by our club, and Sept. 15 our annual club banquet with the installation of new Officers. Safety Harbor Little League & Kiwanis
Pictured here is incoming Kiwanis President Dan Marigoni (left) presenting a check to Taylor Sweeney of the Safety Harbor Little League. For many years, our Kiwanis Club has been a staunch supporter of the SHLL and we’re excited to help them again this year. Join SHLL this weekend as they host a district tournament at City Park. Check it out Saturday through Monday starting at 9:30am, 12:30 and 3:30. Semifinals are on Tuesday with finals on Wednesday. Fellow Kiwanians and many others from the Safety Harbor community gathered Saturday night to recognize the accomplishments of Janet Hooper as the Executive Director of the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center for the past 12 years.
