Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor

Best way to spend a morning – celebrating 5th graders nominated by their teachers for the Kiwanis Student of the Month Award. We started the new school year recognizing five exceptionally great students: Thiago with teacher Lori Vanderklok at Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation; Faith with Ms. Wescott at Eisenhower Elementary School; Genevieve with Cara Swonguer at Leila G. Davis Elementary; Alyssa with Mrs. Anderson at McMullen-Booth Elementary, and Milania with one of three coaches that nominated her at Safety Harbor Elementary. Congratulations to all of the students and thank you to the teachers and families that support these children. And a special shout out to Paradise Restaurant for hosting our SOM and cooking up delicious breakfast for everyone.

Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor

Wonderful night at the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner celebrating local businesses and non profits. The Kiwanians quickly found each other and as a group we represented four organizations. Autumn Pearson with Safety Harbor Art and Music Center; Dawn Thompson Handley with Speak Up: Let’s Talk About Mental Health Non Profit; Mary Laurinaitis for Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, plus Roxanne Connor, the "heart of our club," our new incoming president Jay Craig Wright and our Kiwanis Lt Govenor Dan Marignoni. Safety Harbor is such a wonderful community and evident last night at the Annual Dinner. P.S. none of us won, although nominated -- there is always next year! ...
