Congratulations to the following Kiwanis Seahawks Award recipients at Safety Harbor Middle School: Elizabeth, who is also the president of the Kiwanis Builders Club; Reagan for consistently helping her teacher; Nathan for his improved focus; and Jane for desire find and research answers to questions in class. These students are nominated by their teachers for so many wonderful reasons including academic achievements and positive character, but more importantly they are becoming our future leaders. ... This was our last Kiwanis Seahawks Awards ceremony for this school year at the Safety Harbor Middle School. Happily, it will begin again next year keeping our long-standing tradition of recognizing talented, respectful and helpful middle school students. Special thanks to Principal Danny Boulieris and civics teacher Tamela Matson for allowing our club to be an active partner in the Seahawks awards ceremony, and in your school with the Kiwanis Builders Club and student mentoring. ... A nice little walk up Bayshore, a crazy hat competition to win prizes, and a free swag bag for you -- it's a winning combination and a fun morning for all ages.

This year the kids in our Kiwanis Clubs (K-Kids, Bugs and Builders Club) get to decide how to spend the money the walk raises – they can donate it to a charity of their choice, buy club supplies, have a pizza party, it’s all up to them to decide. It’s a valuable opportunity for the children to learn how to work together, how to lead, and how helping others is a positive quality.

This is such a great cause and a really easy stroll, about 2 miles round trip. If you care not to walk, you can still participate in the crazy hat competition to win prizes and of course cheer the walkers on.

Such a great event and for a truly wonderful cause! Please come and enjoy a beautiful morning walk with all of us!.

The Student of the Month honored these four amazing elementary students at a special ceremony and breakfast at Paradise Restaurant for them, their parents and teachers. We start the morning off with a Kindness Pledge as we know each of these students embrace kindness and respect in the classroom. Congratulations to Andy from Eisenhower Elementary with teacher Ms. Hysenlika; Evan from McMullen Booth Elementary with teacher Mrs. Anderson; Kennedy from Safety Harbor Elementary with Coach Lykon, and Ormaylee from Leila Davis Elementary with teacher Jessica Piotti.
